“I finally managed to put my hands on a childhood photo!”— Theresa

“翻箱倒柜, 好不容易才找到了一张童年照片!” ——萱

Theresa was born on a rubber estate (plantation) in Malaysia. As a child, she lived with many different relatives in Malaysia. After then studying and working in Kuala Lumpur, she decided to head to Singapore at the age of 25 and it became her home. This could explain why she found it so difficult to find a childhood photo for the Mother Tongue website!

Blessed with strong health and an even stronger mind, Theresa has an extraordinary stamina – not only for moving and resettling, but also for pursuing academic qualifications. It was this strong determination and resilience that enabled her to fulfil her dream of obtaining an MBA from the University of Nottingham in 2015.
Over the years, Theresa’s love of learning combined with her adaptable and dedicated nature have taken her career on a journey from language production to machine translation to account management. She proudly joined the Mother Tongue team in 2013.
