Born in mythical Transylvania, Diane’s parents decided it would be a more child-friendly diet to swap garlic and blood for pretzels and beer. So, they moved to Bavaria – the land of the fairy-tale castles, superb automobiles and decent-sized containers for beer.

After getting her degree as a state-certified translator in English Economics and in Translation, she started her professional career as an in-house translator for a renowned French fashion house in Munich.

Having had enough of the small-town metropolis, Diane was intrigued by the glitz and glamour of the fashion world and decided to move to London where she started working as an Account Manager in Menswear.

But even though she spoke English every day, Diane missed working with languages on a more deeper level, so she combined both her passions – languages and fashion – and worked as an in-house linguist and sub editor in a leading high-fashion online retailer.

Having spent all her savings working there, she turned her back on fashion and started working for Mother Tongue, where she feels right at home.
