Since a very young age Tündi was plunged in a mixture of different languages: Born to a Flemish family in a mostly French-speaking neighbourhood in Brussels, she completed her primary education in a German-speaking school. And as she spent most of her childhood roller-skating with the girls next door, French quickly became like a second mother tongue to her.
So, speaking Flemish at home, French with her neighbours and German at school, she developed a growing interest in multilingual communication and decided to study translation. She also took a year off to perfect her Spanish while studying History of Art and drinking Sangría in Seville.
After spending most of her life in the land of beer and chocolate, Tündi had a sudden craving for tea and baked beans, and she eventually braved her way across the Channel to London where she was delighted to find an even bigger diversity in cultures and languages than in Belgium. In London she got herself a Masters in European Politics and briefly touched upon multilingual recruitment before finally joining Mother Tongue.
