Joanna Bacon

Having grown up just outside London, Jo spent years avoiding the lure of the capital. She initially studied languages and translation at Exeter and Bath Universities, before spending some time working as a translator/editor in Frankfurt, where she developed an addiction to Ritter Sport chocolate bars and Apfelwein. After a six-month backpacking trip, she returned to the UK and realised that London is her favourite place to be after all. She joined the Mother Tongue team in July 2011.

Likes: cheese (any cheese), Marmite, travelling, yoga, live music, scary films, Cornwall, earrings

Dislikes: dark mornings, Nutella, tequila, being inside on sunny days, mustard
