Anand’s favourite proverb, “where there’s a will, there’s a way”, is one that has served him well throughout life. Born in colourful Chennai in Southern India, he moved to the hustle and bustle of New Delhi at the age of 10. His dream as a child was to come to London one day as a famous scientist or a great film director. He learned chess at a young age and became college champion.

Over time, he became more passionate about figures than film and science, and so he studied for a degree in Accountancy at Delhi University. After this, he moved to Muscat, Oman, where he worked in various Finance/MIS roles with one of the nation’s largest corporate houses. At the end of this stint, his dream came true and he made it to London, where he joined Mother Tongue.

Anand is finance director at Mother tongue and is responsible for all finance and accounting operations of Mother Tongue UK and its subsidiaries. He is a member of the ACCA.
