Sarah Mrowicki

Born in the wilds of West Cumbria, the Lake District, North England, land of no phone signal, pavements, public transport or people, Sarah is the first child of scientist parents with straight hair. She began to suspect things were amiss when she developed a hatred of science and love for languages, as well as curly hair. It was time to take action…

Trying to find a university as far away from Cumbria as possible, Sarah ended up at Cambridge studying Italian and French – she also spent a year ‘studying’ in Bologna, expanding her wardrobe of black clothes, acquiring a taste for Amaro Montenegro, and doing her best to look 100% native (returning from Sicily with a darker tan than her Italian housemates was her finest achievement)!

After graduation, the next step was London. She dabbled in international financial recruitment, but somehow found the world of head-hunting auditors not her cup of espresso… so she was delighted to join the team at Mother Tongue, where the languages are as free-flowing as the coffee.

Hates: cold weather, being forced to stop twiddling/twisting/twirling her hair

Loves: Tia Maria, sunbathing, the gym, belly dancing
