Louise Humphrey

Louise grew up a remote town in North Yorkshire that no-one has ever heard of, and, after escaping to Birmingham to study translation with French and German at Aston University, including 9 months working in a school in the former Eastern German town of Halle, where her pupils constantly mocked her Northern accent, she moved to London, and started working in banking recruitment.

1 and a half years later and almost accent-free (well according to her non-English native speaking peers!), she realised that corporate city life was not her calling in life, so she decided to put her love of languages to use by joining Mother tongue.

Interesting facts:
Was famous at University for her addiction to orange squash (was never seen without a bottle of it!) and her constant use of random quirky/old-lady-type phrases such as “good fettle” and “lapsidasical.”

Special skills
Snorting extremely loudly.

Never being seen without coordinating shoes/ belt/ handbag/ jewellery and scarf.

Obsessive tidiness.
